Each Family has a story… Ours is about Truffles.
Truffles are still a bit of a mystery! To experience one of the most exclusive food journeys is a must for foodies who are looking for a unique farm-to-plate experience. Each year we invite a selected number of people to participate in a truffle-hunting journey. We have made our events a «sensory awakening», from smelling soils & unearthing a fresh truffle to a bouquet of foods that will leave you with an unforgettable experience.
Accompanied by the trusted companions — our truffle-hunting dogs, you will have the privilege of walking through our hand-planted 1,100 English & French Oak truffière, following the unique truffle aroma and then discovering & digging one up yourself. The richness of the soil and the amazing aroma of the Winter Black Truffle when it’s unearthed is like nothing you’ve ever experienced. The perfume is unforgettable!

Our Truffle Story started a while back…
We’ve always been excited by the mystery of the Black Truffle, a delicacy savored by so many over the centuries, but we first discovered its unique aroma and taste on a food journey in Europe. With Australia quickly joining the ranks of the largest producers of the Périgord black truffle (Tuber melanosporum) in the world, our truffle products have become especially popular in the northern hemisphere, where Australian produce is available when local product is out of season. Having a farm in Australia, we decided to take advantage of this trend.
With Hidden Valley Farms’ cold climate winters and our rich alluvial soils, we started our 1,000 English and French Oak truffière. We planted every tree by hand and inoculated them with the spores of French Perigord truffle. Each tree is treated and cared for as an individual with all the respect due for the bounty it may provide. We patiently waited for 7 years for Mother Nature to do what it does best — to reward us for all the hard work, blood, sweat and tears and to provide us with a truffle! And it did! Today, we are always excited and looking forward to what the next Truffle season will bring.
Please book in advance to join us on this exciting and one of the most exclusive food journeys in the world!
